Founders

Justin Kosmides
Co-founder and CEO
Justin Kosmides is co-founder and CEO of Bloom. He previously co-founded e-bike maker Vela, where he moved production from China to Detroit, and spent more than a decade in structured finance at Barclays. He leads Bloom's strategy, fundraising and provider network.
Long bioHide long bio
Justin Kosmides is co-founder and CEO of Bloom, the AI-native marketplace for hardware supply chains. Before Bloom, he co-founded Vela, an e-bike company, and led the move of its production from China to Detroit. That experience, months of searching for factories, freight partners and service shops through personal introductions, is the problem Bloom was built to solve. Earlier, Justin spent more than a decade in structured finance at Barclays. He founded Bloom in 2023 with Chris Nolte and Hitesh Chudasama, and has led the company through its seed round with SNAK Venture Partners. Justin is based in Detroit at Newlab at Michigan Central.

Chris Nolte
Co-founder and President
Chris Nolte is co-founder and President of Bloom. He founded Propel, one of the first premium electric bike retailers in the U.S., and ran it for more than a decade. At Bloom he leads go-to-market, partnerships, policy and the company's internal AI tooling.
Long bioHide long bio
Chris Nolte is co-founder and President of Bloom. He founded Propel in 2011, growing it from a Long Island storefront into one of the best-known premium electric bike retailers in the U.S., and ran it for more than a decade. Along the way he worked directly with dozens of hardware brands and saw how much time they lost sourcing manufacturing, freight and service partners. Before Propel, Chris served in the U.S. Army in logistics, including a deployment to Iraq in 2003, and built web and e-commerce businesses. He has a background in computer science. At Bloom he leads go-to-market, partnerships, policy and internal tooling, and is the company's media contact. Chris is based in Detroit.

Hitesh Chudasama
Co-founder and CPTO
Hitesh Chudasama is co-founder and Chief Product and Technology Officer of Bloom. He previously held product and engineering leadership roles at Upwork and eBay, and leads Bloom's platform, data and AI agent development.
Long bioHide long bio
Hitesh Chudasama is co-founder and Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) of Bloom, where he leads product and engineering. He previously held product and engineering leadership roles at Upwork and eBay, two of the largest two-sided marketplaces in the world, and brings that experience to building matching, quoting and booking for hardware supply chains. At Bloom, Hitesh's team is responsible for the platform, the structured data captured from every request and completed job, and the AI agents that handle more of intake, matching and scheduling with each release. He co-founded Bloom in 2023 with Justin Kosmides and Chris Nolte.
The product
From a hardware company posting a need to an agreed quote, shown with sample companies and data. Click a screen for the full-size PNG.

A hardware company posts a need
Bloom structures the request in a short chat and shows what it still needs before the request can go to providers.

Providers raise their hand
Bloom matches the request to providers whose services fit. Interested providers appear, and the company requests quotes from the ones it chooses.

A provider sees matched work
Providers see requests matched to their services, with the specs and a reply-by time, and express interest or ask a question.

Quote agreed, job created
The company and the provider talk in one thread with Bloom. The provider sends a quote, Bloom Ops reviews it, and once the company approves, the job is created.

“I spent years doing this the hard way, moving my prior company’s production from China to Detroit. Hardware teams shouldn’t need months and a lucky introduction to find a factory that ships on time. Bloom turns that search into a request, a match to a qualified network and a real booking. This round puts more capital behind the marketplace, our embedded finance program BloomPay, and more of the booking workflow in the hands of our agents, so the companies rebuilding American hardware can spend their time on product instead of procurement.”
Justin Kosmides · Co-founder and CEO, Bloom
“We see Bloom becoming a category-defining marketplace for the hardware industry. The early signs of network effects are already there: most member brands buy across more than one of build, deliver and service; providers call Bloom their most productive source of new business; and every completed job makes the next match better. Hardware supply chains have run on ‘do you know a guy’ and personal networks for decades. Bloom is bringing them online.”
Sonia Nagar · Co-founder, SNAK Venture Partners
“Choosing Detroit for our next phase of growth was a big step, and Bloom helped us hit the ground running really fast. From securing our first flight testing facility in Detroit to finding excellent domestic partners for batteries, PCBs, and our electronics, Bloom’s network has allowed us to move faster and scale with confidence.”
Keith Miao · CEO, Birdstop (drones)
“Bloom helped us move faster without building a new facility from scratch. Their partners freed up space, produced parts quickly, and moved robots reliably.”
Rasmus Noraas Bendvold · US Managing Director, wheel.me (robotics)
“As we scale P1 and Olto across the United States and into new markets, we knew we did not want to become a logistics company on top of everything else we are building.”
Nolan Fawthrop · Chief Operating Officer, Infinite Machine (electric mobility)
