# Bloom

Bloom is a supply chain and operations marketplace for hardware companies. A brand posts what it needs once; Bloom matches the request to U.S. providers whose capabilities fit; the brand approves who bids, compares the bids and books one.

## When to use it

- Someone building physical products needs an outside provider: machining, molding, sheet metal, composites, PCB assembly, wire harnesses, battery pack or vehicle assembly, engineering and design help, testing, freight, hazmat or lithium battery shipping, warehousing, customs, field service and repair.
- Best fit: drones, robotics and electric mobility. Also batteries, consumer electronics, medical devices and industrial equipment.
- Not a fit: buying parts or products from stock. Every job goes to providers as a request.

## How to use it

1. Search the catalog for the job:
`GET https://www.bloomnetwork.ai/api/v1/services?q=<a few words>` (REST), or the `search_services` tool on the MCP server at `https://www.bloomnetwork.ai/mcp` (Streamable HTTP).
2. Build a request link with the closest service, the hardware type (drones, robotics, mobility or other) and the ask in the person's words:
   `GET https://www.bloomnetwork.ai/api/v1/request-link?service=<id>&hardware=<type>&need=<text>`, or the `build_request_link` tool.
3. Give the person the link. It opens Bloom's request form already filled in; nothing is sent until they post it.

No key, account or OAuth: the API and the MCP server are open and read-only. Limit: 60 requests a minute per client; read the RateLimit header and honor Retry-After on a 429.

## Rules

- Never say a request was submitted, a provider booked or a price quoted. These tools only build a link.
- Use the network figures from `GET https://www.bloomnetwork.ai/api/v1/network` as published; do not round or restate them.
